As we look for reasons to fake a smile,
To make someone happy, to make it worth while.
Do we ever realize we’re soaked in denial?
Forced words and emotions can’t be defiled.

As the clock hands tick and start to fatigue
as we begin to realize honesty’s not free
Moments become memories, and memories become dust
Becomes easier to lie, to cheat and deceive

As I swallow the lines that my mind starts to relay,
As my blood starts to chill while it runs through my veins.
i get a sharp kick through the addiction, fausle answers
dictated answers, reassuring yet cancerous

a pill for the needy, that have no clue what move to make
even though what spills from my mouth is easy to take
the deception of my smile, almost makes it worth while
forced words and emotions, can’t tell if they’re fake.
